Also from what I see of the pictures, most of the garbage was either in or near a garbage can, the pasta was at least dumped in a sink and not on the ground for people to step on, there was garbage around what appears to be a campfire. Men's bathrooms are always dirty, I have cleaned plenty so I should know, and men in general do not leave restrooms very nice, and to only have one toilet clogged, is a surprise. It could have been worse. The garbage could have been strewn everywhere and people not even have bothered to try to put in an overfull garbage can. Also Powell County, which is the county you were in doesnt have everyday garbage pickup and often only picks it up once a week. So if it was full, that's not Miguel's fault that the county only picks up once a week. I have worked in many a place that serve food alone and seen garbage cans fill up like that, simply because people are too busy waiting on people to serve them and make sure they get food and such to empty a garbage can right away when its full. For as many people who stay there, it could have been way worse. You could have also spent 100 bucks a night in a hotel where everything was pristine, or for a campsite that is run by the National Parks. For a 2$ fee, great food right there, its not as bad as it could have been.

I have been to Miguels, and while I have never been around back to the campsites, I have never seen that much garbage there. I know its not because of Miguel as my family is friends with his family. It saddens me to see the place in that state, as thats not how I normally have seen it. I know the pizza is great and as far as I know its always packed with campers. Leave it to a few people to ruin it for all. I hope that in the future visitors show more respect not only for a place of business, but for the others that also visit.

Have fun and I look forward to following your adventures. :)

We were there right after Thanksgiving. And yes, I'm sure they were getting tired of cleaning up towards the end of their season.

Yeah, the problem is, it's not Miguel's problem to pick up after all the "entitled" little jerks that make a mess of the place. Not at $2/night anyway. If people don't get their collective act together (call people out on this crap!), Miguel's answer will be to either raise the rates so he can staff it more effectively or just tell us all to go to #@$^. Either solution kinda' sucks. Climbers need to get their #$^% together - at least the ones that frequent Miguel's on weekends!

Just curious, when were you there? The post is dated Dec. 13 but Miguel's generally shuts down after Thanksgiving which would have something to do with it.
