My mom is quite the party planner and while we were here she planned a trip that came to be known as, The Tour.
The Tour started with going to my Uncle Tom and Aunt Suzie’s house. They had a house full of hunters getting ready for opening day and I was a little surprised when no one asked for my input when creating a hunting plan of attack.
Later, while the hunters trudged out to their blinds in the freezing cold we slipped into the hot tub with some tropical drinks…that was the life. Later in the evening, my Aunt Suzie helped to set me along the more conventional crocheting path…I learned from her that I was talented enough to be doing a stitch that didn’t even exist!
The next leg of the tour was visiting my grandma’s house. I have not been to my grandma’s house in about ten years and I was anxious to get back there. I had fun showing Ben around the place where I spent so much time while I was growing up.
We also learned, while raking leaves, that this winter may be a little harsher than we would like…do you see all those acorns??? Well, were told that the more acorns there are, the harder the winter is going to be. Not quite what we are wanting to hear while we are living in Lily…how fast can we make it to Florida?
The home stretch of the tour ended with us going to Frankenmuth (a little Bavarian town in central Michigan) for some delicious chicken lunch and a little bit of shopping. We went to Bronner’s, the world’s largest Christmas Store and while we were there Ben and I bought two tiny stockings to hang in the bus to cheer it up a bit for the holiday season.
Thanks mom for planning such a memorable trip!
