Living out of a VW Bus forces you to give up some activities and hobbies. Glass blowing, for example, would be a hobby that would be hard to do on the road. For us, we had to give up snowboarding for a year. Mostly because the cost of lift tickets isn’t in our budget, but also because there is just no room in Lily for anything else!
To fill the void from a lack of snowboarding, Erin choose to take up the similar hobby of crocheting. She has already completed 2 and 1/4 washcloth like things. While these “washcloths” seem simplistic at first glance, they are actually deceivingly versatile. Here’s Erin’s brother Mark, modeling it as a pocket handkerchief.
Ohh but wait! It can also be used as a bib!
And let us not forget the case where you lose an eye and need an emergency eye patch!
…and of course you could wash dishes with it, if that’s your thing. Keep reading the blog to find out what crazy thing Erin crochets up next!
